REMARKS FROM THE PA CHAIR
Fellow Parents, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to The Almighty God, to the parents and to the teachers of this school for their great sacrifice and dedicated service they have shown towards the growth and development of Agoro Sare High School.
We welcome you to this great institution and pray that you settle with ease after today's induction.
Our Strategic Plan 2021-2025 is in place and I wish to urge all parents to get a copy and to relentlessly implement this plan which envisages the ideals of the school. When we all wholeheartedly co-operate with the Board of Management, the PA Executive and our Chief Principal in this agendum then our dreams will come to life.
It is my humble submission that Agoro Sare High School, being a centre of excellence and an institution of learning, will deliver its mandate only if we continue with constructive engagement and quality relationship that we have built over the years between parents and the administration.
Beloved parents, guardians and sponsors, let us recognise our committed staff who have remained true to service even beyond the classroom activities. Thank you teachers for adopting needy students and giving hope where it was lost. Fellow parents, please second me in appreciating the teachers for this noble gesture. Kindly remain connected with our teachers for the sake of the development of our sons and their ultimate attainment of excellence.
My dear parents, it is my sincere appeal that you consider getting time from your usually busy schedules to conference with the teachers. This will consolidate the efforts channeled towards the upbringing of our sons. Be this as it should, kindly take keen interest in what your son does during school holidays. Supervise your son in doing the assignments; keep check on the company he keeps; monitor his physical, social or electronic interaction over the internet, especially via computer or cellphone gadgets. Kindly provide constant parental guidance and counselling to your son. In so doing, we will complement what our teachers do at school. Remember, you are the first teacher to your child.
During this coronavirus pandemic, Whatsapp shall be one of our official channels of communication. In this regard, I wish to advise that we positively contribute in our respectively class walls and maintain the core function of the same, which is to ensure academic betterment of our classes and school. Let us remain true ambassadors of our great school. Negative sentiments and non-academic posts and forwards, must remain aliens on our WhatsApp walls.
It is worthy to note the commendable work being done by our able Chief Principal, Mr. Momanyi James. Notwithstanding the financial constraints orchestrated by the Covid-19 upheavals, the school programmes have ran without any deterrence. We honour Mr. Momanyi for his efficient and effective stewardship that defies all odds.
On infrastructural development, the Principal's leadership has been cognisant of the 100% transition ministerial policy. It is in this regard that a mega science complex building project is at an advanced stage of construction, and it's ground floor will provide room to accommodate the extra students admitted into form one class. Once complete, the 4 Floors will provide space for Laboratories and classrooms. In retrospect, we could also meet the ministerial health and safety protocals because our CEO had sunk a borehole that has enabled the school to harvest plenty of quality water. This has been critical in mitigating the impact of the pandemic.
It is important to mention that the completion of Momanyi and Solomon Ouko B. C and D dormitories, have enabled the school to address accommodation challenges concomitant with the swollen population. Ladies and gentlemen, if this is not visionary leadership then what is it?
To this end, I wish to prevail upon all our new parents, to come out in spirit and in large numbers to support our Chief Principal. As PA Executive in conjunction with the BOM we enlist your full support when the school shall organize a fund-drive for our Multipurpose Hall. It is high time we protected our sons from rain and shine when they are feeding.
I wish to recognize and appreciate the significant contributions made by previous PA Executives especially the 2020 Form Four Parents Representatives and the Class Directors who sacrificed their time and personal resources during hard economic time. This team went out of their way to mobilize parents in their respective classes to pay fees by personally calling and texting them. These wonderful people, even organized fund-drives for students who had serious challenges in paying fees not to mention, adopting needy students throughout the four years course.
It will also be in order to appreciate the brotherhood that has been exhibited by Agoro Sare fraternity for their support whenever we are bereaved as a school. Premised on the above, a structured benevolent fund kitty is an idea whose time had come. The PA Executive resolved that each parent/student, shall be contributing Ksh. 100 annually towards Welfare Kitty. This kitty will enable us to meet the bereavement needs that do arise among students and parents.
At this point again, I want to thank God Almighty for the excellent 2020 KCSE result. This result testified of our school Motto: Labour to success, The result also confirmed our Vision: to be a center of academic excellence producing responsible and self-reliant citizens. This result has come to be the Hallmark of Agoro Sare High School. We cherish our extraordinary teachers under the guidance of our able Chief Principal and his two supportive deputies - Mr. Amayo David and Mr. Ayoro David
On 27th August, 2021 during our Teachers’ Excursion in Mombasa, a twelve points strategy for 2021 KCSE was launched to propel our 2021 candidates to their target Mean Score of 10.20. We appeal to all stakeholders to charge them on with their rallying call; Soaring to the utmost height: Double Digit.
In conclusion, I wish everyone good health as you continue staying safe and meeting our parental obligations. May The Almighty God replenish your pockets and give you wisdom to continue supporting this institution and being good ambassadors of Agoro Sare High School.
